Little Crusader Mirrors and Feathers (The Widowed Witch)

Ariel (Shai Avivi), a wealthy middle-aged bachelor, is asked by a former flame to get together. However, the meeting has nothing to do with romance. As a busy entrepreneur, he only has 45 minutes for her, but in that time, he manages to find out that she had a son who had just died in a car accident and that he was the father. So, he puts everything aside and leaves Tel Aviv for Acre for the boy's funeral. He ends up staying there longer than he initially planned, and his life takes on entirely new meaning. Feverishly trying to learn about his son, he also starts to learn a lot about himself, and his posthumous entry into his role as a father is as melancholic as it is comical. With this "exceptionally sad comedy," Savi Gabizon, the director of Lovesickon Nana Street and Nina's Tragedies, returns to the big screen after a 14-year absence-and he does so successfully: Longinghas been shownat festivals in Venice, Toronto and Jerusalem, where it won an award for the best screenplay and an audience award.
