Zuloak (Holes)

Arrate Rodriguez is a student of fine arts and an illustrator who wanted to set up an all-girl electro-rock band. While she does not know how to play an instrument herself, she managed to form a group called Zuloak. Arrate’s only indispensable instrument was her camera, which she used to immortalize everything related to the band and its three members. When the girls gain a bit of independence and self-confidence, however, they start to rebel against Arrate, who was responsible for managing and guiding the band from the very beginning. In examining the music scene in the Basque Country, Fermin Muguruza makes a film that is a kaleidoscope of the styles, trends, and revolutionary desires that exist among young people involved in the arts, in the broad sense, and he puts the story of Zuloak up front. His portrait of Basque youth reflects their lack of identity and their copying of Western trends. Despite this, a vast creative force burns inside them. As a result, they are ready to take on a new challenge after every failure.
