A private encounter with her reflection in a mirror causes a young girl to want to get to know her body. When uncertainty turns into fascination, desire is born. The act of discovery becomes an act of passion and yearning, but also of aggression and struggle. The protagonist has to wage a battle with herself to find out what she really needs. Can union with her body bring her peace?
Weronika Szyma
Weronika Szyma, a third-year animation student at the Film School in Łódź, is interested mainly in analog and classic animation. Her first-year film A Degvil and a Rascat, for which she won the first prize in the animation competition at the Ars Independent festival, has been screened at festivals in Poland and abroad. She also works in the fields of photography, illustration, and music.
