Abu Ammar Is Coming
Bangladesh, Lebanon, United Kingdom 2016 / 6’
documentary

The point of departure for this film is a photograph taken in Beirut in the early 1980s of five armed men against the background of a burned-out building. They were most likely fighting in Lebanon’s civil war at the time. Naeem Mohaiemen, a historian by training, once again takes on a subject that deals with the past.
