The Dark Galleries

Nicolas Provost
Belgium 2013 / 11’

In his latest work, Nicolas Provost takes audiences on a tour of film noir spaces, fragments of which primarily garner attention for the above-average artistic sensitivity of the presented world. The artist is exhibiting scenes that were originally of secondary importance in terms of the plot but, in his work, are the fundamental building blocks of the content of the film through which he encourages viewers to consider another reading of the history of cinema.
