The next important festival event is going to be the Polish premiere of the celebrated documentary The Story of Film: An Odyssey, directed by the distinguished Northern Irish film critic Mark Cousins.
A monumental work, divided into 15 one-hour episodes, it is based on his fascinating 2004 book and is a subjective, multidimensional look at the history of cinematography. The author offers a fresh, new take on cinema's heritage by looking back at several hundred of its most important works - from the shorts of the Lumiére brothers to the ultramodern Inception. The director will also be a guest of the festival, and we will be able to see his latest film What Is This Film Called Love? in the International Competition for Films about Art.
