The New Horizons Studio is an initiative aimed at young film industry professionals from Poland with the objective of communicating knowledge on the inner workings of the international film industry, including talking about promotion, film marketing, sales, pitching, networking and festival strategy.
The third edition of New Horizons Studio took place on 23-26 July 2012. The workshops were led by Agathe Valentin (Head of Sales w Films du Losange, Mathilde Henrot (co-founder of the Festivalscope portal), distributors Jakub Duszyński (Gutek Film) and Guillaume de Seille (Arizona Films), TVP Film Agency director Renata Czarnkowska, as well as producers affiliated with the London Film Academy – Ivana MacKinnon, David Pope, and Alex Boden. Director Urszula Antoniak (Code Blue) led the New Horizons Studio Master Class.
Among the 24 participants, 16 were from Poland (directors, producers, screenwriters), including Adrian Panek (Daas), Jan Kwieciński (The Fourth Dimension), Piotr Bernaś (Paparazzi) and Marcin Janiec (The Game), while 8 guests came from abroad on special invitation by our event partners – festivals in Transylvania, Lisbon, Locarno, Cottbus and the Cinesonne festival – among them Niccolo Castelli (Tutti Giu), Pauline Gay (Demain, ce sera bien), and Andrei Cretulescu (Killing Time).
New Horizons Studio was co-organized with Media Desk Polska and the London Film Academy. The event was also kindly supported by T-Mobile.
4th edition of the New Horizons Studio will take place on 21-24 July 2013.
